Depression Counselling
When we feel depressed, we can feel:
-
sad,
-
tired,
-
down,
-
flat,
-
less focused & more forgetful,
-
stuck – unable to make decisions.
The good news is that counselling for depression can help to find a way forward and get back in control. If you’re concerned about your thoughts, feelings, or behaviour, but not sure if you’re experiencing depression, this anxiety and depression checklist may help.
Want to make changes in your life? Feeling stuck? Struggling with changes to your circumstances, whether that’s work, health, relationship issues, or in other areas of your life?
I can help you get clear on where you’re stuck, and where you want to go. We will talk through what is happening, how you’re feeling, and what your goals are. Then work on strategies to get you to where you want to be, and how to look after yourself during change.
If you’re feeling stuck or stressed at work, or want coaching to help you with career progression, I can help with decision making, and strategies to reduce stress. Plus coaching on the practical elements of job search, application, and interview processes, so you’re set up for success.

Parenting is amazing and challenging and frustrating and rewarding, frequently all at the same time! My approach helps you to:
-
understand your child and where they are coming from,
-
learn to deal with difficult behaviour,
-
support your child in developing their confidence,
-
learn, and teach your children, strategies for childhood anxiety or worries and more.
Are you having relationship issues? Maybe you’d like help with how you communicate with your partner, or support with anger management.
Perhaps you’re considering separation and need to talk through the pros and cons, and the subsequent steps to repair your relationship, or strive towards an amicable separation.
My main focus is on supporting you with communications, decision making, tools for self care, and coping with change. I can work with you as individuals or together as a couple, and often a combination of couples counselling sessions mixed with a few individual sessions can be helpful.
Anger and aggression can cause many problems:
-
Are your partner, family or friends finding you hard to be around?
-
Are you experiencing problems at work because of anger?
-
Do you notice heart palpitations, muscle tension, poor sleep, maybe worry or shame?
If you feel your life would be better with some strategies to address your anger, there are steps you can take. With anger management, we work together to help you notice and identify your anger triggers, what are the thoughts that come up for you, what is your intent, what are your physiological signs of anger, the behaviours and outcomes, etc. And then we work on making changes and developing better responses, helping you make better choices and have more self-awareness, and self-control.
“Louise is super approachable, caring, and easy to talk to. She helped me work through a sudden employment change and the logistics of a move to a new career. Louise’s approach is practical and she was able to bring some really helpful insights to the table.
